One stereo in, three buffered outs, MIDI-controlled. Live now: pedalnetics.com/product/trident.
Three buffered stereo outputs, each on its own latching mechanical relay. Clean, silent switching. The relays only draw current during the switch event itself, so the box runs cool.
MIDI CC handles the control. Six CCs cover individual outputs plus common pairings. Four actions per CC: mute, unmute, toggle, solo. The solo action is the one I use most: send CC 2, Value 3 and Trident mutes everything else and unmutes Output 2 in one message. One button press, clean amp switch.
If you don't want to mess with MIDI, you don't have to. Default boot mode is all three outputs unmuted, so out of the box it just works as a buffered splitter. Change the boot behaviour via CC 121 if you want something different – saved to non-volatile memory.
Other specs:
- 5-pin DIN MIDI In and Thru
- Configurable listen channel 1-16, saved to memory
- RGB status LEDs: green/blue/purple for active outputs, red for muted
- Boot flash reports firmware version and MIDI channel without sending a CC
Hand-built to order, 7-10 day queue.
