A small rectangular switch to place to the left of your screen on the PodGo! If you're using this switch for non-FS7/8 purposes and can activate alternate functions by pressing both at the same time, we also offer a on-a-wire 3rd switch tied to both so that extra function is easier to activate!
Dimensions:
36.385 mm (1.432 in) Wide
98.533 mm (3.879 in) Deep
21.00 mm (0.827 in) Tall (with footswitches extending above; total height from bottom of enclosure to top of footswitches: 34.11 mm (1.343 in))
When plugged into the EXP 2 (FS7/8) input of the Pod Go, the “DualAux” can serve as 2 additional toggle switches that enable you to toggle through the different snapshots of a preset. To assign this functionality to the DualAux, go to the Global Settings for Footswitches of your Pod Go, and set the “FS7/8 Function” to “Snap Up/Down”.
Why is it beneficial to assign this functionality to something external like the DualAux? Because it frees up your other Pod Go switches for more Stomp Switches! In other words, with the DualAux taking care of the “Snap Up/Down”, it makes it possible for the user to toggle through consecutive Snapshots (1, 2, 3, 4) WHILE never leaving the Stomp Mode with 6 switches. This greatly improves the flexibility of the Pod Go for live use by giving the user the ability to not only scroll through snapshots, but also simultaneously turn on/off up to 6 stomp switches within each snapshot. Make sure to set the “Stomp Mode” settings to “6 Switches” in the Global Settings menu. Additionally, make sure to set “Snapshot Edits” under “Preferences” to either “Recall” or “Discard” depending on whether you want to save or forget the stomp switch changes you make inside each snapshot when scrolling through them.
The optional 3rd external switch is added to the circuit so that it activates both switches of the DualAux simultaneously. This action results in the user momentarily exiting Stomp Mode and entering Snapshot Mode. This allows the user to select a different snapshot that perhaps is not in consecutive order, such as if the user wants to go from Snapshot 1 directly to Snapshot 3. To make sure that you immediately return to Stomp Mode after selecting a new Snapshot, go to Global Settings and set “Snapshot Mode” to “Auto Return”.
All of this occurs within one Preset. To return to the preset bank and see your other presets, press the “Mode” switch. Make sure that in Global Settings, the “Up/Down Switches” is set to “BANK”. Use the up and down switches to scroll through presets as usual. The usability of the DualAux will work the same for every preset.
The description above is just one way to use the DualAux. The DualAux can also be assigned other functions such as being 2 extra stomp switches, or toggling through presets or banks. Play with the “FS7/8 Function” in the Global Settings of the Pod Go to explore additional ways to use the DualAux.
