A 3 button MIDI controller for your HXStomp!
The two primary operating modes are MIDI mode, and Snapshot mode.
In MIDI mode, you can select what each footswitch does from a list of options.
In Snapshot mode, each switch activates the related Snapshot (1/2/3) and the LED light follows the active snapshot. Press and hold switches, and you have access to FS4/FS5/Tuner!

HXStomp FrontAux3 MIDI
No, the Tap/Tuner in the Preprogrammed firmware does not behave the same as FS3 due to an issue with the HXStomp's Tap MIDI command. When you send Tap messages via MIDI to HXStomp, it doesn't jump instantly to that tempo. Rather, it gradually gets there by averaging a bunch of taps and the previous tempo, and because of that only the HX actually knows what the current tempo is and therefor I can't flash the LED at the matching tempo since it's internal to the stomp.
However with my WebUI firmware, you can use MIDI Clock instead which is 100% accurate and will flash the LED, and you can assign long-press to activate tuner to any of the other switches or even when you press two switches at once ( a dual-press function)
Both units have all the same features and I/O,so yes both have the 1/4" and USBC. Literally the only difference is the angle which makes the fat one an extra 1/2" deeper
Yup, you sure can! That's actually why I added the right side 1/4" plug: to use with a Duo Mini (and yes the regular pigtail is the right length already), giving you 5 MIDI switches + your expression pedal or 2 into the Aux of the Stomp
Absolutely! They go into different inputs on the HX so you can run them both. That said, the FrontAux MIDI will be getting a new firmware update soon that would do everything the 2 separate switches could do but in the single FrontAux MIDI unit
1000/10 recommend, and I love to show this thing off everytime I use it! Not only is the design extremely intuitive, but it makes every function make sense in a matter of moments! The setup took me 5 minutes, and this is my first time using MIDI anything!

I stumbled over ist while ordering the Helauxy which I also have. Together with this MIDI switch the Stomp is now more comfortable than the XL while still remaining compact. Definitely recommended.
