A even smaller version of our Helauxy solo! By removing the 1/4″ jack, we're able to shrink this down to even fit on the Stomp XL near the display area!
Now you may be asking, “Why would I only want access to one of the two expansion footswitches?”, and it's a great question.
There's two main reasons: Expression Pedals, and Quick Access.
When you run an expression pedal with your HX Stomp, you can also have 1 Aux switch. This gives you that 1 aux switch you can use with your expression pedal.
The other reason is Quick Access, which is why I designed this model specifically for myself.
Sometimes, you just want a quick way to do the 1 very specific thing you want; Maybe you just want a bypass button, or a tuner button. Or in my case, MIDI stuff.
The core of my personal rig is a Morningstar MC8 Midi Controller, which controls a pair of HX Stomps. I wanted a quick and easy way to tell my midi controller “Show me controls for [this] Stomp”. I have one of these Helauxy Solo's on each one of my HX Stomps, and when pressed, it sends a MIDI command from the HX Stomp to the MC8 and triggers it to jump to a specific command bank related to that Stomp I pressed. Now if I want to quickly change Amp banks on my Amp FX Stomp, I just stomp the Solo, and chose my new setting on the MIDI controller.
